Bamboo Tea Whisk
Our 80-prong whisk, also known as a chasen (茶筅), is a traditional Japanese tool used to prepare matcha tea.
The prongs, made from the finest golden bamboo, help evenly distribute the matcha powder and water, resulting in a smooth, frothy cup of matcha.
To use the chasen, pour 30mls of 60-80°C water over 1g of our Superior-Grade Matcha powder in a bowl. Whisk it vigorously in a "W" motion. The whisk will incorporate air into the matcha, resulting in a light and frothy texture. Once the matcha is fully whisked with a layer of fine emerald-green bubbles on the top, enjoy it immediately.
